Let’s Talk Politics!
What could go wrong?

Painting has taken a back this past week. My day job as a photojournalist at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has kept me busy. I’m also preparing for my News Photography class to start at Marquette University. I’ve been an adjunct professor there since 2015.
It’s all good. I spent this last week covering the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. While the days were long, it was super fun.
I’m going to save you some reading time, and more importantly me some writing time, and direct you to a Podcast I put together involving the nuts and bolts on what it was like to cover the convention. I talk about the gear I used, what my day was like, and other cool stuff I saw. It’s both on YouTube and iTunes or wherever you get your audio podcasts. Although I highly suggest you check out the YouTube video (and subscribe to my channel) as I show you some of the cameras I used as well as images I shot.
As far as my art goes, I’ll be part of an exciting show in Milwaukee coming up called “Occasional Artists.” It’s with five artists and myself on Sept. 20 from 4-8PM at the Northpoint Lighthouse, 2650 N. Wahl Ave. Milwaukee, WI. Yes, it’s in an actual lighthouse! How cool is that?!
As always, thanks so much for opening this newsletter! It means more than you know.
Thanks,
Mike
